A new musical genre in Bohemia - the solo concerto in the production of the Prague composers of High Baroque
Kapsa, Václav
As a new musical genre, the solo instrumental concerto spread all over Europe at the beginning of the 18th century. The study documents so far unnoticed sources of the solo concertos by Czech composers of this time. The sources of the concertant compositions by Anton Reichenauer (cca 1694–1730) and Christian Postel (d. 1730) have been preserved abroad in German collections.
